21st Amendment Brewery Legislative Line

Hell or High Watermelon and Brew Free! or Die turned Americana into a nationwide craft story.

Legislative Line
When we launched our core beers back in 2008, nobody was putting real artwork on cans. Most craft beer packaging looked like your uncle’s doodles or type-heavy labels. We wanted to change that.

So we treated our packaging like billboards. Hell or High Watermelon brought Lady Liberty out West, lounging on the Golden Gate Bridge and soaking up the California sun. Brew Free! or Die showed Abe Lincoln busting loose from Mt. Rushmore. Big, bold Americana icons—rewritten with a wink.

Those characters did more than decorate a six-pack. They gave us a voice. They turned Hell or High Watermelon into a summer classic and helped grow 21st Amendment from a Bay Area brewery into a brand you can now find in 38 states.
